LAB-0185 Main test benches - Crop Protection Technology Laboratory
- Specific test benches used for the certification of sprayers (standards EN ISO 16119, EN ISO 19932 and ISO 28139) and for their functional control (standard EN ISO 16122).
- Wind tunnel for the evaluation of the drift sensitivity of the nozzles.
- Test bench for the evaluation of the potential drift produced by the spray booms (in accordance with ISO 22401).
- Hydraulically operated bench for tilting spayers on four sides to assess the tank residues simulating different operating conditions.
- Bench for the simulation in a controlled environment of the distribution of plant protection products.

LAB-0186 Main Equipment - Crop Protection Technology Laboratory
- Laser diffraction system for dynamic (in flight) measurement of the size of the drops (Malvern Spraytec)
- Measuring units (Testo 400 and Testo 416) for Pitot tube (0-60 m / s) and fan anemometer (0.6-40 m / s)
- Portable fan anemometer (Ecometeo AS 2000) to measure air speed (0-20 m / s)
- Sonic anemometer (TECNO EL) to measure speed (0-40 m / s) and air angle on the horizontal plane
- Sonic anemometer (Gill Instruments) to measure speed (0-40 m / s) and angle of the air on the horizontal and vertical plane
- Precision digital pressure gauge (GE DRUCK DPI 104) to measure pressure up to 70 bar
- Robotic system for automatic analysis of the amount of tracer deposits on sprayed natural (leaves) or artificial surfaces (Petri dishes or other materials like filter clothes)

APPLICATIONS AND SERVICES
- ENAMA / ENTAM certification of the functionality of the pesticide application equipment and their components (for some tests the laboratory is accredited according to ISO 17025 with Accredia accreditation number 1146 L)
- Determination of the size of the drops (in flight), produced by different liquid spraying systems (nozzles) used both in the agricultural and in the industrial sector
- Experiments aimed at evaluating the functional and operational performance of spraying machines and related components
- Experiments aimed at defining new standardized methods (Standards UNI, EN, ISO) of testing and evaluation of crop protection machines and components
- Design and development of prototype spraying machines
- Training courses for obtaining the qualification for inspection and adjustment of the sprayers in use
- Training courses (including international) for employees in the agricultural sector aimed to reduce the risk of point and diffuse pollution of the environment from plant protection products

Possibility of on-site measurements
It is possible to access the infrastructure by reservation, accompanied by authorized staff, and / or send samples for analysis (without directly accessing the structure). The technical feasibility of the requested experiments.
