Description of equipment
This device comprises a 213 nm, 4 mJ max. laser ablation unit that can be coupled to an ICP-MS (quadrupole-based instrument) and/or used to monitor LIBS spectra, as it is equipped with a high-resolution 6 channel CCD spectrometer and spectral coverage from 190 nm to 1040 nm.
It features variable spot sizes down to 5 µm diameter and a repetition rate up to 20 Hz. It offers flexible control of laser ablation sampling patterns via grid generation, line scanning, random point generation, or any user defined patterns.
The ablation can be carried out in air, Ar or He atmospheres.
