Modular photoluminescence spectrofluorimeter, model FLS1000, for steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence and phosphorescence measurements. Spectral range covered: ~230 nm – 5.5 μm. Guaranteed sensitivity >35,000:1 signal-to-noise ratio (Raman water, 350 nm excitation). Included excitation sources: 450 W continuous Xenon lamp (≥2000 h, no ozone generation), 60 W pulsed Xenon lamp (microsecond pulses), pulsed lasers for TCSPC (pulse duration <100 ps) and continuous (CW) lasers in the visible and NIR range. Optical system based on double excitation and emission monochromators (2 × 325 mm, Czerny–Turner configuration), with spurious light rejection >1:1010, software-controlled slits and filter carousels. Dedicated UV–Vis–NIR (cooled PMT) and Mid-IR (liquid nitrogen cooled InSb) detectors. Allows for lifetime measurement by TCSPC technique with minimum measurable lifetimes <100 ps (visible) and <150 ps (>900 nm), as well as determination of absolute quantum efficiency using integrating sphere. Fully automated control and data acquisition by dedicated software.
