The Analytical Titan has a spherical aberration corrector (CEOS Company) at the condenser lens, the lens that forms the probe. Consequently, this microscope is appropriate for ultra-high resolution imaging in Scanning-Transmission mode (HRSTEM) and chemical composition mapping with atomic resolution by Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (STEM-EELS).
