Description of equipment

The FTIR Vertex V80 is a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer designed for high-performance infrared spectroscopy applications. It works by measuring the absorption of infrared light by a sample, providing detailed information about its molecular composition. The Infrared Absorption Analysis identifies chemical bonds and functional groups in a sample by detecting their unique infrared absorption patterns. This model covers a broad infrared range (mid-IR, near-IR, and far-IR) for various applications, from material characterization to life sciences. Furthermore, supports transmission, reflection, and ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) methods for analyzing different sample types (solids, liquids, and gases).
