Description of equipment
System for analyzing the fatigue behavior of structures, consisting of hardware and software, is configured for measuring of force and displacement variation in time in dynamical loading (like fatique loading) as well as in static loading.

Features
Prerequisites
Manufacturing of the device for fixing the samples on this equipment may be required. Manufacturing of the fixturing device for the samples or for the structures tested is responsability of the beneficiary (depending of the test type).

The equipment can be operated only by the trained persons from the UNITBV.
Equipment list
System for analyzing the fatigue behavior of structures is equiped with: servo-actuator seria AH 100/100 (max. force is 100 kN and maximum stroke is ±50 mm); horizontal servo-actuator seria AH 63/100 (maximum force applied is 63 kN. maximum stroke is ±50 mm); hydraulic power source; digital control system; computer; monitor 19"; Materials testing software DION 7 (Walter & Bai) for static and dynamic tests. The frequency (max. 35 Hz) of the cyclic loadings must be correlated with the maximum force and maximum stroke (amplitude).
Available measurements
"This equipment may be used for dynamical tests for a mechanical structure or system. The machine may also use for fatique testing of the specimens made of different materials. The specimens are loaded by applying pulsating cyclic loads in bending. By using DION7 software it may define different types of cyclic loadings: sin loading, triangle loading, rectangular loading and so on. The cyclic loading may be defined by cyclic force or cyclic stroke (displacement).

Sample preparation
Manufacturing of the samples tested is responsability of the beneficiary.
Deployment of the results
Materials testing software DION 7 (Walter & Bai) allows: saving the database with results (force, stroke, time, the number of cyclyc loading); plotting the results (stroke and force at application point) as functions of time; exporting the results as *.lia files which may be imported in Excel.
Approximate time for the results
Depending of the analysis required, 1-10 days.
