Description of equipment
Optical system ARAMIX SRX 8Gb consisting of hardware and software, is configured for measuring of 3D displacements, 3D strains, trajectories/ velocities of points for analyzed parts or mechanical systems, by using the method of digital image correlation (DIC).

Features
Prerequisites
Preparation of the device for fixing the samples and its mechanical loading in order to record deformations/displacements with this equipment. Manufacturing of the fixturing device for samples is responsability of the beneficiary (depending of the test type).
Technicians
The equipment can be operated only by the trained persons from the UNITBV.
Equipment list
ARAMIX SRX is equiped with: two high-resolution optical CMOS sensors with resolution of 4096 x 3068 pixels and 8Gb memory; LED light system with blue light technology; GOM Testing controller; manual stand for positioning the sensors; calibration artifact CP40/MV320 for measuring volume of 380x290x200; computer integrated in rack system of type Dell Tower 7820 Rack PC system; monitor 1 of 24" (resolution 1920 x 1080); monitor 2 of 32" (resolution 2560 x 1440); GOM Correlate Professional software.
Available measurements
recording of high-resolution image sequences at different aquisition rate and image processing by digital image correlation; 3d displacements for different points and strain fields for the area of interest of the part/structure loaded; principal strains; velocity and acceleration for different points marked on mechanical system tested.
Sample preparation
Covering of the area of interest of the sample tested, with speckle pattern by spraying with white and black paint. The cost of sprays with white/black paint is not included.
Deployment of the results
GOM Correlate Professional software allows: saving the database with results; plotting the results (3d displacements/ 3d strains/ velocity) as functions of time; color contour-plot for displacement/strain fields; creating reports with results; exporting the results in csv files; exporting of video files (mp4) containing all frames with results recorded for the sample loaded.
Approximate time for the results
Depending of the analysis required, 1-2 days.
