Description of equipment

In order to make full use of the impressive functionality offered by FTIR spectrophotometers, select the attachments and accessories best suited to given analytical objectives using Shimadzu FTIR series spectrophotometers.

1. Multi-bound ATR such as ATR-8000A, ATR-8200HA, HATR10 of total reflectance method for rubbers, powders, paper, cloth, yarns, film, plastics, coating films on metals Thicker than 1µm, coating films on resins, nonvolatile organic solvents, volatile organic solvents, aqueous solutions and extract solutions.

2. Single-bound ATR such as QATR series, MIRacle series, Quest, MicromATR series of total reflectance method for rubbers, powders, paper, cloth, yarns, film, plastics, coating films on metals thicker than 1µm, coating films on resins, nonvolatile organic solvents, volatile organic solvents, aqueous solutions and extract solutions.

3. Demountable cell of liquid film method for rubbers, of nujol method for powders, of film method for film, plastics, volatile organic solvents and nonvolatile organic solvents and of liquid film method, of rapid measurement for volatile organic solvents and of liquid film method for aqueous solutions above 10% in concentration for aqueous solutions.

4. KBr die + hydraulic press + vacuum pump of KBr pellet method for powders

5. DRS-8000A of diffuse reflectance method for powders, coating films on metals and extract solutions of evaporate solvent.

6. Film holder (Use a grid polarizer for study of molecular orientation) of transmission method for paper, cloth, yarns, film and plastics

8. Measurement to a depth of 1/5 of the wavelength with a Diamond, ZnSe or KRS-5 prism and to 1/10 with a Ge prism of total reflectance method for coating films on metals thicker than 1µm and coating films on resins

10. RAS-8000A (Use of a grid polarizer enhances sensitivity about two times) of reflection absorption spectrometry for coating films on metals thicker than 1µm.

11. Quartz cell of measuring mineral oils only for oil content measurement.

12. CaF2 cell of measuring animal/plant oils
