Description of equipment

The French-Press homogenizes cell suspensions continuously using the high-pressure release principle (known as the French-Press principle). In a freely selectable pressure range up to 2700 bar (40 kpsi) all types of cell suspensions are processed and efficiently destroyed: bacteria, yeasts, algae, mammalian and insect cells, fungi, etc. Even at the highest pressure, proteins are not denatured, which is why this technology is very beneficial and mainly used for protein isolation.
