Description of equipment

High spatial resolution of the lasers and high sensitivity of the ICPMS make possible to carry out elemental and/or isotopic analyses ranging from the microscopic scale (less than 10 microns) to the centimetre scale.
3 different lasers have the capacity to ablate materials very quickly according to precise and complex trajectories. They can be coupled to 4 different ICPMS (quadrupole, triple-quadrupole, high resolution, multi-collector) and then allows the detection of the targeted  elements at very small quantities of up to a few attograms (10-18 ag).
