The X-ray diffractometer is an important tool for identifying the composition of materials, as well as identifying the crystalline phases present.
Determination of crystalline structures and calculation of the degree of crystallinity. Identification of 250,000 materials cataloged by the ICDD (minerals, inorganics, metal alloys, phase compounds, zeolites, superconductors, cements, pigments, polymers and pharmaceuticals).
It has application in several areas, more particularly in engineering, materials sciences, metallurgical engineering, chemistry and geosciences.
